As the seasons change so do our linen storage needs.  Come summer and we have quilts, duvets and blankets to store and finding the right storage solutions can mean the difference between having winter bedding and buying winter bedding when winter comes around again.

Not only do we have the problem of storing items, but knowing where to put it that its safe and out of the way is not always easy when space is always such a premium.  First you want to ensure that your linen is well protected, and then you want to ensure that it take up the minimum amount of space.  There are a few options you can consider that are worth the time invested.

Linen Storage Furniture:-  Investing in a linen cabinet is a great idea if you have the space in your bathroom or laundry room.  Many of the designs are slender tower closets that will fit in a small space or even a corner of a room.  These are ideal for day to day linen storage, but for larger families, it is difficult to accommodate all your linen in these pieces of furniture, no matter how attractive they look.

Linen Storage Bins, Boxes and Bags:-  If you have a few items that you are not going to be using for an extended period of time, you could easily store them in the myriad of canvas and plastic storage bags and boxes on the market.  They come in a wide range of sizes and shapes and some are easily stacked or can be stored under the bed.  The clear ones or ones with a clear window in the front make it easy to see what is located inside, or you may opt for ones with a ID card holder to label your linen containers.

Linen Storage Shelves:-  Shelving storage can be freestanding or affixed.  Either way, the additional shelving space is a great way to organize your linen.  You can choose to put the shelving in a cupboard, or have it against a wall and by taking advantage of collapsible storage boxes, you’ll be able to ensure that your linen is orgnized and protected against snagging or damage.
